Our work
The PostdocNet Secretary group has created the PostdocNet statutes. The PostdocNet statutes define the organizational structures within the network and govern official actions such as election procedures. At the founding meeting in April 2019, the PostdocNet statutes were voted into action by the members of the assembly.
One particular focus of the PostdocNet Secretary group is highlighting the importance of diversity within the Max Planck Society (MPS) and helping to enshrine this in the statutes so that it may continue throughout the PostdocNet. We are looking for people now to help us to expand the network and develop tools for encouraging and helping institutes to implement electoral procedures and democratic representation within the society for postdocs.
The Secretary group will be the guard of knowledge and integrity within the PostdocNet. The tasks of the Secretary group will include:
- Collection and dissemination of relevant information to all postdocs within the MPS
- Upholding, amending and overseeing the PostdocNet Statutes
- Overseeing the election of local postdoc representatives at each institute
If you have any questions, queries or would just like to get in contact with other postdocs within the MPS, please contact us via email.
