Productive Meeting Between the PostdocNet Steering Group and the MPG General Administration
Plus, the new Steering Group finally got the chance to meet fully in-person!
On 18 May, representatives of MPG PostdocNet had the opportunity to participate in a series of productive and constructive meetings at the Headquarters of the Max Planck Society in Munich.
We would like to sincerely thank MPG President Patrick Cramer for the open and engaging discussion with our delegation. The exchange provided a valuable opportunity to discuss current topics relevant to postdoctoral researchers across the Max Planck Society and to strengthen the dialogue between PostdocNet and the MPG leadership.
In addition, we greatly appreciated the meetings with the heads of several departments and units of the General Administration:
* Department of Human Resources Development & Opportunities
* Staff Unit for Internal Investigations
* Talent, Gender & Diversity
* Programmes & Networks
The discussions covered a broad range of topics relevant to the postdoctoral community, including career development, diversity and inclusion, institutional support structures, networking initiatives, and procedures related to reporting and investigations.
We are grateful for the openness, transparency, and willingness to engage in dialogue shown by all participants. These meetings represent an important step in continuing to strengthen collaboration between MPG PostdocNet and the General Administration, and in ensuring that the perspectives and experiences of postdoctoral researchers are represented within ongoing institutional discussions.
We thank everyone involved for their time, commitment, and constructive exchanges, and we look forward to continuing these important conversations.
