2026 PostdocNet General Meeting

2026 PostdocNet General Meeting
We hope you will join us for what promises to be an inspiring opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen our network, and shape the future of PostdocNet!

The General Meeting is the central annual event of PostdocNet. It brings together postdocs from across the Max Planck Society to discuss matters of common interest, exchange experiences and best practices, develop new initiatives, and collectively shape the future of our network. Whether you have been involved in PostdocNet for years or are attending for the first time, we warmly encourage you to participate.

This year’s General Meeting will take place on 9–11 November at Harnack House, Berlin, under the theme Empowering the Next Generation: Shaping the Future of the Max Planck Postdoc Community. Over three days, we will bring together postdoctoral researchers, representatives of MPG leadership and Administrative Headquarters, and partners from the national and international research ecosystem to:

  • Connect with policymakers, research networks, alumni and colleagues across the Society.
  • Learn about research careers, institutional services, working conditions and opportunities for collaboration.
  • Act by contributing to PostdocNet's priorities, electing the next Steering Group and shaping our roadmap for 2027.

For further information on the election procedures, voting rights, and other governance matters, please consult the PostdocNet Statutes.

We are pleased to share the latest programme featuring contributions from the BMFTR, MPG President Patrick Cramer, Administrative Headquarters, ICoRSA, KoWi, Helmholtz, Leibniz and our alumni community.

We look forward to seeing you in Berlin!
